Co-editor and Designer

My name is Jenna Lopez, and I am from Tucumcari, New Mexico, which is about 120 miles south of Canyon. This is my third semester working on Eternal Flame, but this semester I am co-editor and designer. I will graduate this spring with a bachelor's in public relations, advertising, and applied communication with an emphasis in public relations. From there, I plan to stay in the Amarillo and Canyon area and pursue a job in public relations and maybe someday receive the opportunity to work for a magazine. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time on the Eternal Flame staff, and I am looking forward to creating a vivid and timeless publication this semester!

Hey! My name is Alea Wittler, and I am from Vilas, Colorado. I am a senior digital communication and media major, serving as the co-editor/designer for this semester's publication of Eternal Flame! Once I graduate, I hope to work in the film industry or as a social media manager. I am super excited to work with our team this semester!

Hi! My name is Jackie Ferrel, and I am from Estelline, Texas, a teeny town most people know better as “the speed trap.” I am also recently engaged! I was inspired to change my whole life plan after co-writing a story for Eternal Flame in 2024, and long story short, I switched my major to speech and hearing sciences. This year, I am serving as a staff writer for Eternal Flame, and I am super excited to see the impact of the spring 2025 magazine! 

Copy Editor

My name is Macy Tucker, and I am from Elkhart, Kansas. I am a senior public relations, advertising, and applied communication major. This is my third semester on Eternal Flame and my second semester serving as the copy editor. My dream job is to work for The NFL as a social media or advertising professional. I am very excited to be a part of this team again, and I cannot wait to publish this year's spring edition of Eternal Flame.  

Director of Public Relations

Hi! My name is Rebecca Hayes, and I am from Midland, Texas. I am a sophomore public relations, advertising, and applied communication major, and this is my second semester with Eternal Flame. I am serving as the director of public relations this semester. My future goal is to work in advertising or public relations for the music industry! I want to help artists manage social media platforms and engage with their fanbase. I am super excited to see how our publication turns out this semester! 

Media Planner

Hi! My name is Ivana Garcia, and I am serving as the media planner for the Eternal Flame magazine this semester. I am from Perryton, Texas, and I am majoring in digital communication and media. As for my future plans, I am unsure of what I would like to do. In my free time, I enjoy listening to podcasts, playing softball, and spending time with my family.

Director of Photography

Hi! My name is Mindy Self. I am a digital communication and media major from Amarillo, Texas. I am the director of photography for Eternal Flame this semester. I am hoping to go into news production or content creation after I graduate. Outside of school, I am a part of Core Filmmakers Collective, a group of local filmmakers who strive to work on their craft. I am excited to take on this new project with Eternal Flame!

I am a junior from Kingwood, Texas, and I plan to graduate next fall with a bachelor's in agriculture media and communication. After I graduate, I would love to pursue a career in ministry! This is my second year on this team, and I cannot wait to see what we create.

Hi! My name is Ava-Marie High. I am a biology pre-medical major. I am from Amarillo, Texas. I am involved in various campus organizations. I am on the media and event teams for The Wesley and I am currently a staff writer for the Eternal Flame magazine. During my time at WTAMU, I accomplished being on the Dean’s and President’s list multiple times. I like to spend my free time listening to music, watching TikTok, creating art, and making connections with my fellow Buffs. Although I am not entirely sure what I want to do after I graduate, I am looking forward to what the future holds.

Hi, my name is Zoe Graham, and I am a senior digital communication and media major. This is my first semester in Eternal Flame as a staff writer. I currently live in Amarillo, and I have been trying to become more active in my community on and off campus with different organizations in Amarillo and Canyon. In my spare time, I enjoy painting, photography, and hiking. After I graduate, I want to work for a non-profit organization or in film or TV production.
